[ZC] Mod to Push a 1x Membership Charge in Zen Cart™ 1.3.x

Filed under:

My latest publicly released mod for Zen Cart.

Description:

This contribution pushes a 1x membership fee into the shopping cart at Account Registration. It has been tested on Zen Cartâ„¢ V 1.3.7 but also works for 1.3.6, as far as I know.

It includes the mods necessary to do the following:
– Remove ability to update or delete the product from the shopping cart
– Removes the display of a related image in the Shopping Cart
– Modifies how the Qty is displayed (removes MinQty)
– Removes Link to Product in Shopping Cart AND Shopping Cart Sidebox
– Removes Product from Quick Reorder Sidebox

This contribution REQUIRES a Hidden Product! There is another contribution that helps with that or you can set it up manually. This contribution will not set up that product, it requires you to set it up in advance. (Links to forum threads re same are in the Read_Me_First fiile included with this contribution.)

[ZC] Using HTMLArea3 Plugins with Zen Cart

A few months ago I spent some long hours researching and testing what exactly is needed to implement the HTMLArea plugins in a Zen Cart installation, with an eye to the pitfalls of IE, Firefox and Opera in regard to functionality.

The results of this research have been posted in draft form at:

http://www.stylehack.com/tutorials/article1.html

The instructions in this article are based on extensive research at the archived HTMLArea forum and from notes or comments found on or via the original HTMLArea author’s site. It also covers using the Zen Contribution “HTMLArea w/Image Manager”.

The related articles referenced at the top of Article 1 (CSS plugin, Custom Toolbars, etc) are planned for future release if there is interest from the Zen Cart community.

This information has also been posted in the Zen Cart Forums > Documentation. [Forum Post Thread]

[ZC] Zen Cart Contribution : Event Lister

Filed under:
I’ve finished the Event Lister contribution for Zen Cart and released “2005-03-19 R 1.0″ in place of the earlier RC2 (Beta, release candidate 2). If you’re looking for the Event Lister, and didn’t follow the link in the latest post of the Event Lister thread at the Zen Cart forum, you can find the new zip here: http://www.stylehack.com/tutorials/downloads/event_lister_r1.zip It also contains the modification to use it in conjunction with the News Manager 1.5 contribution by Dave @ Open Operations. Please read the readme file in the zip before using this mod. “-)
