Wordpress Template Materials: Help or Hindrance?

Filed under:
blannk-box2.png blannk-box3.png My idea for the crib sheet section would be to present strictly the tags used, any parameters available, and a 1-line example of what is generated. The material on the Wordpress Wiki is super, but I was wanting basically a sheet that I can just glance at when fiddling. The commented CSS page would be structured the same way… what is generated by a standard implementation in terms of the index.php file 3 ways: index.php, index.php w/wp-comments.php included but no comments and again with comments. Commented CSS would include what styles are generated but not styled to begin with, what’s in the default stylesheet that has no impact (yes, I swear I found some things)… not the actual styling as such, just the selectors and some comments. And I had a pipe dream of offering it to the WP community via Wiki or offering it to the developers if they were interested in including it in their doc project. A noble endeaver. There’s so much out there already by people who are much more active in WP and more advanced than I am in all the underlying PHP and styling that now I’m second-guessing the advisability of investing the time to finish the project. Especially sad since I roped Liann (Cafelisa.com) into collaborating on this with me and doing the CSS commentary. Oops! “-) I guess I need to think on this some more. If nothing else, we can post it on the daHens Wiki for private consumption. Whaddya think?
